1949, November 5 – Frick Plumbing on W. College Damaged

The G.J. Frick plumbing shop on West College Street was damaged by fire at 12:30 pm Monday. The wood framing of the sheet metal structure was badly damaged and a large part of the stock of plumbing equipment destroyed or damaged. The fire was believed to have spread to the building from grass burning outside the building. Firemen theorized the grass had been ignited by a cigarette tossed by someone passing on the nearby street.
