Begin Paving Hitch Yard

Marion will have additional parking space when the entire block just north of the city hall building will be surfaced with black top. The project now underway will cost the city $2,000.

Grading and marking off the area will afford more space than there has been when cars were parked at various angles.

The new project will not have parking meters. Curbs on the Madison Street side of the lot will be removed so that drivers will be better able to enter and leave the lot.

All work on the project has been let to the Jefferson Asphalt Co. of Mt. Vernon.
