About Us

This site was created out of a desire to preserve as much of Marion’s past and present that still lives in the memories of its citizens as possible before it is too late to recall them. Please feel free to browse the posts and enjoy the wonderful past that Marion has enjoyed. We encourage you to register so that you will be able to make comments about  things you may recall. We also invite you to join us in our effort to collect and salvage as much of the past and present as we can.

  2. Sam…..just a phenomenal site and I will be spreading the word to family and friends…I think the older we get we become more appreciative of the magic of of our upbringing in a place like Marion, or at least that is my feeling….you have gone to great lengths to develop this site and I just want to say “thank you”. -B. 3. Sam….I am interested in posting some pictures of my church for the future. How do I do that? I havent been able to find out how to post pictures. The site is great. I’m going to tell people about this.

    • To maintain consistency and make sure everything gets classified so it can be found correctly, at least for now, I will be doing the post entries. Just email any data and photos you have on the subject from the contact us page. I will post them and give you full credit for the post. I try and clean up and size all the photos posted but some are really poor quality to begin with. I would be thrilled to make sure your church is documented. Thanks, Sam
