Marion Fire Dept in parade around Public Square in late 1800’s

A parade being held in the late 1800’s around the Public Square depict the Marion Fire Dept pumpers being horse drawn and in the second photo a precession of Indians on horseback. This shot is looking into the southwest corner of the square.

Note the presence of a small building in the corner where the Orpheum Theater would later be built in 1922.
