G.J. Frick Cash Grocery was owned and operated by an interesting man named Gottlieb James Frick. Gottlieb and his wife Pearl appear to have opened the grocery around 1905 and then for reasons unknown moved to New Mexico for a short period around 1910. Continue reading →

To improve search results when more than two words are used in the search box, enclosing them in quotes will return only the exact phrase. i.e. "Tom Jones"

Names were often spelled differently back in time due to illiteracy and transcription errors. Consider all possible spellings of a last name. For instance, Maynard could also be Manard, Menard, Maynerd or Mainard.

Also, try leaving trailing letters off of names that have variations and keep the letters that tend to stay the same.
