Agricultural bank FrontThe Agricultural Bank located in Marion, Illinois clearly issued its own notes as evidenced by this $2 dollar banknote offered for sale on Ebay in 2013.

One of the bank officers who signed the banknote was Robert M. Hundley. Although the other note signers are not clearly readable, one of the primary signers appears to be named Harding. Continue reading →

To improve search results when more than two words are used in the search box, enclosing them in quotes will return only the exact phrase. i.e. "Tom Jones"

Names were often spelled differently back in time due to illiteracy and transcription errors. Consider all possible spellings of a last name. For instance, Maynard could also be Manard, Menard, Maynerd or Mainard.

Also, try leaving trailing letters off of names that have variations and keep the letters that tend to stay the same.
