201 W. College St. 1875-2005

201 W. College St. 1875-2005

This home was built around 1875 for Hartwell Hendrickson and his wife Nannie Hendrickson, the first girl born in Marion. Hartwell died in 1899 and Nannie continued to live there until her death which I suspect as being around 1910. The home, which was originally red brick, is a good example of Greek Revival Architecture. Continue reading →

Search Hints

To improve search results when more than two words are used in the search box, enclosing them in quotes will return only the exact phrase. i.e. "Tom Jones"

Names were often spelled differently back in time due to illiteracy and transcription errors. Consider all possible spellings of a last name. For instance, Maynard could also be Manard, Menard, Maynerd or Mainard.

Also, try leaving trailing letters off of names that have variations and keep the letters that tend to stay the same.
